Hey there friends! Today I wanted to share another card featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Butterfly Brilliance Collection. It’s a clean and simple card that really showcases the gorgeous butterflies from the Butterfly Bijou designer series paper collection.
Even if you don’t have that patterned paper, it’s still an easy card design to re-create. All you have to do is swap out the fussy cut butterfly for one that is stamped.
Below you’l find all the info you need about the Butterfly Brilliance collection as well as all the details on how I made this card.

- Accessories: bone folder, paper snips, paper trimmer, embossing powder tool, white embossing powder, heat tool, blending brush, Fine Art ⅜” ribbon, Mint Macaron ½” Basket Weave ribbon, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, double-sided adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Black Stampin’ Dimensionals
Stampin’ Up! Canada | Happy For You Dimensions
- Basic White Thick CS: a 4 ¼” x 11″ piece
- Basic White Regular CS: a 4″ x 5 ¼” piece
- Basic Black CS: a scrap piece
- Butterfly Bijou patterned paper: a 6″ x 6″ piece (large butterflies)
- Fine Art ⅜” ribbon: a 6″ piece
- Mint Macaron ½” Basket Weave ribbon: a 6″ piece
Stampin’ Up! Canada | Happy For You Instructions
Step 1: Score the 4 ¼” x 11″ piece of Basic White Thick cardstock at 5 ½” and then fold it in half with your bone folder to create your card base.
Step 2: Fussy cut the green butterfly from the 6″ x 6″ piece of Butterfly Bijou patterned paper using paper snips.
Step 3: Rub an embossing powder tool over a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock. Stamp the “happy” greeting and the “for you” greeting onto the cardstock using Whisper White Craft ink. Sprinkle white embossing powder over the greetings. Tap off the excess embossing powder. Heat this with a heat tool until the embossing powder has melted.
Step 4: Fussy cut the “happy” greeting, leaving a narrow border, using paper snips. Trim the “for you” greeting into a strip that is about ⅜” x 1 ⅛” using a paper trimmer.
Step 5: Apply some ink to the center of the 4″ x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock using a blending brush and Pool Party ink.
Step 6: Trim the left side of the 6″ piece of Fine Art ⅜” ribbon and the 6″ piece of Mint Macaron ½” Basket Weave ribbon on an angle using paper snips. Stick the 6″ piece of Mint Macaron ½” Basket Weave ribbon onto the 4″ x 5 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock, on an angle upwards, using double-sided adhesive. Stick the 6″ piece of Fine Art ⅜” ribbon onto the Basic White cardstock panel, on an angle downwards, using double-sided adhesive. Wrap the ends around to the back of the cardstock and stick them down using double-sided adhesive.
Step 7: Center and stick the Basic White cardstock panel onto the card base using double-sided adhesive.
Step 8: Stick the butterfly onto the card using dimensional adhesive.
Step 9: Stick the “happy” greeting onto the card using a combination of dimensional adhesive and double-sided adhesive.
Step 10: Stick the “for you” greeting onto the card using double-sided adhesive.
Step 11: Embellish the card using some rhinestones. You’re done!
